I'm writing this petition in light of the distressing actions of both Trump and Vance in the Oval Office recently. Their treatment and public demeaning of Zelenskyy and their alignment with Russia have brought shame upon the office they hold. Unfortunately, this behavior isn't an anomaly but a pattern that has led me to this point. Their open support for Russia, instead of upholding the principles and values that the United States of America stands for, is nothing short of betraying our democracy.

Trump and Vance are in positions that require them to uphold the democratic principles and values that the United States was founded upon. They have not only failed in their responsibilities but they have actively and publicly sided with our geopolitical adversary. This behavior is unacceptable and sets a dangerous precedent for future leaders.
A study by the European Journal of Political Research mentions that politicians who engage in dishonest and unethical behavior can devalue the importance of democratic principles, reducing the public’s faith in democracy. We cannot afford for this to happen in our great nation (European Journal of Political Research, 2021).
As supporters of democracy and the rights that come with it, we must not stand by when our leaders undermine those principles. We demand their resignation or impeachment, to restore the dignity of their offices and ensure the preservation of democracy. Please sign this petition and make our voices heard.
